JOIN THE BUSTINSKIN RACE CREW

Race day doesn't happen without the people behind it.

Join the BustinSkin Race Crew for the Portland Coastal Marathon on Sunday 14 February 2027 and help us deliver a brilliant race day for everyone taking on the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K.

There are loads of ways to get involved — from registration and course marshalling to aid stations, race support and the finish area at the National Sailing Academy.

No experience is needed. We'll make sure you have all the information you need before race day.

As a thank-you for your help, you'll earn BustinSkin Race Crew Credit:

3-hour shift: £35 credit
4–6 hour shift: £50 credit
Full race day (approx. 8–10 hours): FREE ENTRY to any BustinSkin triathlon

Credit is awarded after completing your agreed shift and can be used towards an eligible BustinSkin race entry. If the entry costs more than your credit, simply pay the difference.

You can also bank credits from multiple events towards a bigger race later.

Race Crew Credit is valid for 18 months from the date earned. Free entries and credit are personal to the volunteer, non-transferable, have no cash alternative and are subject to event availability.

Volunteers who get stuck in and make an exceptional contribution may receive an additional reward as a thank-you. Speak with Mark or Lins at the event.

We'll also keep the Race Crew fed and watered throughout the event. There may be event merchandise available and, where possible, we'll finish off with a thank-you meal or drink together after the race.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Race Crew registration is 18+, as many roles involve independent marshalling or travelling to positions around the course.

Got the kids with you? No problem. Children are welcome to come along with a registered adult where the role and location are suitable. They're also pretty useful for cheering, high-fives and making plenty of noise!

Whether you've marshalled with us for years or this would be your first time, we'd love to have you on the team.

HOW TO USE YOUR RACE CREW CREDIT

When you're ready to enter an eligible BustinSkin event, email volunteercredit@bustinskin.com with your name, the event and shift you helped at, and the race you'd like to enter.

You'll receive a discount code to use when entering. If the entry costs more than your available credit, simply pay the difference.

If you've earned a free triathlon entry for completing a full-day Coastal shift, let us know which BustinSkin triathlon you'd like to enter and we'll arrange your entry code.
